Implementation Tools

Several tools were created to help with the implementation of RP 1185.

Planning/Gap Analysis Tool

The Planning Tool is designed to help an operator conduct a gap analysis to compare their existing system to the requirements of RP 1185 to identify gaps, rank them by priority to closure, assign responsibility and track progress.

The use of this tool is voluntary and does not certify an operator’s adherence to RP 1185 or any other standard, rule or regulation. Operators may wish to consult with members of their legal counsel as they navigate the guidance document and various tools.
